Renee Said:

When do you think the obama 787 billion stimulus will be released?

We Answered:

It will be approved as both the House and Senate are under control by Democrats

Dale Said:

what do i have to do to get the retraining that president Obama is offering?

We Answered:

before you start you may need to get your GED before you can think about secondary education, so start now and maybe you can get this done in under six months....

there is the workforce investment act( WIA) administered by local labor departments, it allows some money for job retraining......Most of the paperwork requires you to provide some initiative....and three years without results does not show much initiative.... anyway with the economy the way it is, there is a pretty good chance that the money is already spoken for........

anyyway a good time line would be for you to walk into the local labor dept and ask to be certified a dislocated worker (2weeks) and get an appointment with a local WIA representative, another 4 weeks(veterans are getting helped first maybe 5 to 6 weeks) then you will find out the requirements of getting this aid, time to complete your requirements and next appointment another 4 weeks....about that point maybe you will figure out what you want to get trained in.....then you will visit the schools get a quote and go back to the WIA representative (another 3 to 4 weeks) ......ok maybe now your funding is approved, and you wait for the next class......

bottom line 6 to 7 months goes by getting the requirements done to get the funding......then the time line for the school hours.......so 1. they are not going to tell you what school you should go through, 2. they provide some money, probably not all the money 3. this program has been around since 1998, I just think Pres. Obama has increased funding for it.......
too bad you did not think of this 2 1/2 years ago.....

What are your views on the Obama stimulus plan in education?

We Answered:

Obama is our great ruler and king. I mean President. Anyway, if our last President taught us anything it is that when you are right you are right and when you are wrong you are right. Of course he would have said it something like this - When you are right you are bright and if you are right then you are not wrong unless you are right and then you are still not wrong. Huh ......

Educational stimulus money?

We Answered:

RunTell:

Sorry, but there is no such thing - at least in terms of money that is paid directly to students.

The American Recovery and Investment Act of 2009 (which is commonly referred to as the "economic stimulus bill") provided an additional $100 billion to the American education system - not just for college, but all the way from Pre-K to post graduate.

The $100 billion included an increase of $17.1 billion in Pell Grant funds, which allowed an increase of $500 per eligible student in Pell awards, and also increased the total number of eligible students.

The Act also added $200 million to the federal work study program.

What it did NOT do is create any new forms of financial aid - especially not the supposed "grants" that some people have "heard" about.

Financial aid hopefuls continue to apply for the exact same forms of aid in the same exact same manner - by completing the FAFSA, and asking the Department of Education to pass your information on to your school. The only result of the "stimulus" bill was to increase already existing pools of funds.

As an aside - in interpreting any similar "news" that you might hear in the future... As President of the US, President Obama has no constitutional powers or ability to create stimulus funds for college education, or for anything else. The president enforces the laws that are created and established by the legislative body - the Congress. If someone tells you that Barack Obama has created a new type of aid for single moms, poor college students, people who need their houses repaired, or people facing foreclosure, you'll know that it can't possibly be true. Not because President Obama isn't a nice guy, but because he doesn't have this kind of power under our system of government.

Good luck!

New deal and Obama stimulus plan Essayy 10ps?

We Answered:

the New Deal was an abysmal failure. almost all of today's economists agree that Franklin Roosevelt extended the Great Depression at least 7 years longer than it needed to last. the New Deal failed because it interfered with natural market forces that would've corrected themselves sooner than later. for example, for every government job that was created, more jobs were lost in the private sector, which were the only jobs that could've helped revive the economy.

today, Obama is taking us down the same path that Roosevelt took in 1933. also, for the record, FDR was not a good president. he was an aspiring dictator who ruled for longer than what was gentlemanly (4 terms) and tried to circumvent the Constitution by packing the Supreme Court with Democrats (1937 Judiciary Reorganization Bill). he was a communist sympathizer who cozied up with Stalin and allowed the Soviets to take East Berlin. finally, his internment of 110,000 Japanese-Americans was one of the worst human rights violations in U.S. history.
