If they are listed on the PA Dept of Ed website, any of them will be fine if you want to teach in PA. Millersville has the best reputation though. There are A LOT of good teacher colleges in Pennsylvania, so you have many other choices too.

Most colleges won't let you live off-campus your freshman year unless you are living with your parents. You probably wouldn't want your own off-campus apartment anyway because it's additional stress to manage your own place to live as you're learning how to live away from home for the first time. Whether you can have a car depends on the college. Smaller universities are more likely to let you have a car than bigger ones are.

Here's some more info about accreditation (from Wikipedia): Regionally accredited schools are predominantly academically oriented, non-profit institutions.[31][32] Nationally accredited schools are predominantly for-profit and offer vocational, career or technical programs.[31][32] Every college has the right to set standards and refuse to accept transfer credits. However, if a student has gone to a nationally accredited school it may be particularly difficult to transfer credits (or even credit for a degree earned) if he or she then applies to a regionally accredited college, since some regionally accredited colleges have general policies against accepting any credits from nationally accredited schools, others are reluctant to because regional schools feel that national schools' academic standards are lower than their own or they are unfamiliar with the particular school.[31][32][33][34] There have been lawsuits regarding nationally accredited schools who led prospective students to believe that they would have no problem transferring their credits to regionally accredited schools.[35][36][37] The U.S. Department of Education has stated, however, that its criteria for recognition of accreditors "do not differentiate between types of accrediting agencies, so the recognition granted to all types of accrediting agencies — regional, institutional, specialized, and programmatic — is identical." However the same letter states that "the specific scope of recognition varies according to the type of agency recognized."

Usually, if a state needs teachers, they will issue a temporary certificate if you meet the requirements. My advice is to get the PA certificate, which is a very valuable one, from Drexel, and then go from there to get certified in other states.

If you have requested help from your MP then that is it.
That is the authority they need.

If it is for legal help then why oh why are you using an MP, use a Solicitor.

As for standard of competence or incompetence - competence would be fairly low as the reason they do anything is to win themselves 'Brownie Points' (apologies to all Brownies for comparing them in any way to slimeball politicians!)
Incompetence would be reasonably high because the Minister would 'delegate' and the civil servant staff are just as bad.

Remember that MP's are voted into power which they then abuse in one way or another.

I wouldn't rely on an MP to make it to a Parliamentary session on time when in the next room.
