If you major in physical education what are some good jobs out there besides teaching? We Answered:
Here's a few ideas I got from the US Dept of Labor, based on a degree in physical education:Recreation supervisors oversee recreation leaders and plan, organize, and manage recreational activities to meet the needs of a variety of populations. These workers often serve as liaisons between the director of the park or recreation center and the recreation leaders. Recreation supervisors with more specialized responsibilities also may direct special activities or events or oversee a major activity, such as aquatics, gymnastics, or performing arts.
Directors of recreation and parks develop and manage comprehensive recreation programs in parks, playgrounds, and other settings. Directors usually serve as technical advisors to State and local recreation and park commissions and may be responsible for recreation and park budgets.
Fitness directors oversee the fitness-related aspects of a health club or fitness center.
Sports instructors teach professional and nonprofessional athletes individually. They organize, instruct, train, and lead athletes in indoor and outdoor sports such as bowling, tennis, golf, and swimming. Because activities are as diverse as weight lifting, gymnastics, scuba diving, and karate, instructors tend to specialize in one or a few activities.
Group exercise instructors conduct group exercise sessions that involve aerobic exercise, stretching, and muscle conditioning.
Personal trainers work one-on-one with clients either in a gym or in the client’s home.
Professional scouts evaluate the skills of both amateur and professional athletes to determine talent and potential. As a sports intelligence agent, the scout’s primary duty is to seek out top athletic candidates for the team he or she represents. At the professional level, scouts typically work for scouting organizations or as freelance scouts.
Umpires, referees, and other sports officials officiate at competitive athletic and sporting events.
Recreational therapists, also referred to as therapeutic recreation specialists, provide treatment services and recreation activities to individuals with disabilities or illnesses. Using a variety of techniques, including arts and crafts, animals, sports, games, dance and movement, drama, music, and community outings, therapists treat and maintain the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of their clients.
Good luck!

When I complete my ASSOCIATES DEGREE in Physical Education...what jobs can I hope to obtain? ?We Answered:
You're going to need more than an associate's degree to work in a college athletic department. You may get a job at the YMCA or something or a camp but that's about it. You need your bachelors at a minimum and/or a masters to work at the university level.Diana Said:
What is the best way to search and find physical education jobs?We Answered:
If you mean you want to be a P.E. teacher, the best way is to look on the websites of the school systems you are interested in teaching for. They usually have an up-to-date list of vacancies there as well as an online application.Gabriel Said:

Physical education jobs?We Answered:
Do you feel you may have an entrepreneurial spirit? We are a homeschooling family and when we lived in Ohio we had experience with one of the most remarkable people I have ever met. He was a P.E. teacher, Masters in Education and taught/coached in a couple of schools in a district. But he also homeschools his own child and saw a need in his community for homeschool P.E. classesAlthough many homeschool children participate in community team sports, martial arts, swimming programs, YMCA homeschool programs, etc there was a need for even more of the structured classes we parents had when we were in school before the PE programs were cut back on due to finances.
He started teaching homeschool classes in the local community center and they were in such high demand it almost become impossible to meet the need. He has since branched out and started his own company. Here is his website and maybe it will inspire you to think outside the box of just using your skills in a brick and mortar school setting. Bright people who are highly motivated can always turn something that is their passion into a great life. Good luck and best wishes for a great teaching career!

What are the jobs yo can get from Physical Education? We Answered:
You could be a personal trainer, physical therapist or coach a sports team at the professional or minor league level(though that would be difficult without professional sports experience yourself).
