Cheated Out of College?We Answered:
If it's closed, and it wasn't accredited in the first place, I doubt there's much you can do. If it wasn't accredited, that means her degree wouldn't have been recognized at most places anyway. But she can just take the GED and have the equivalent of a high school degree, and then she can attend college.Arthur Said:

Should I go to University of South Carolina or UMass Amherst? We Answered:
What about applying to Clemson? You think that football has a huge presence at USC, then you should visit Clemson. :)Although I am a grad student at Clemson I will say that USC has some good academic programs. I'm with you about the football but just because you dislike football doesn't mean that you won't fit in. I mean, I'm at Clemson and I'm not a big fan of football either, except when they are playing USC (even though USC beat us this year). I can tell you that there are plenty of students that aren't big fans of sports. Of course, you want your sports teams to do well no matter where you go to college because it is a part of being in college. But, you don't have to be a die hard sports fan. How are you defining rednecks? I'm pretty familiar with the Columbia area. I was born in Columbia (1981) and lived in West Columbia (not too far from Saluda River Elementary School) until 1992. I know we have rednecks at Clemson too but it's not really that bad. Of course, I have lived in NC and SC (Arkansas for ~1 year) for my entire life. So, I understand the redneck comment and concern. You don't have to interact with the rednecks if you don't want to. And how do you know that you don't have anything in common with them if you don't know anything about them?
I have to say that you should visit any college campus that you are interested in attending. You will know if it is the right place for you. I did when I was an undergrad (college in western NC). I was going to take a tour of the campus the day I turned in my application to the school. As soon as I got out of the car, I knew that it was the school for me and that I would be a student there. I am not an intuitive person by any means but I knew that it was the place for me. If you really want to go to UMASS, see how much financial aid you can get from them. If you can get enough, then it may be worth while to go there. You have to be open to some new experiences when you go to college (nothing stupid or illegal though). You will meet and become friends with people that you never imagined being friends with.

Why are all these crazy, stupid people winning primaries (in both parties) recently? We Answered:
Bad economic times breed extremism on both sides of politics. People become frightened and self interested. If someone is saying something which people perceive to be to THEIR advantage, they will think "Bugger the rest of society...this guy/chick suits me.Jared Said:
Does anyone have advice on a great university/college for someone going into secondary education? We Answered:
Go to a state university near where you want to teach. They are cheap and people there will have connections to the various schools in the area for placing its graduates. Also consider several places will help pay your college cost if you teach in that state after you graduate.

Has Rush been # 1 for 20 Years because he provides this kind of INSIGHT?We Answered:
Here's a shocker: you present facts and a reasonable argument, including documentation, and the only response you get is name calling. It's truly sad that people just can't handle the truth. The only thing more disturbing is that these children are allowed to vote. God help us all.
