Try fast food - McDonalds, Burger King, etc. They usually hire high-school students. Or get a newspaper route.

Look for a job that you can handle, while your a student. Try getting a job for a supermarket, restaurant, bookstore, coffee shop, hotel like (Days Inn, Ramada Inn, or Holiday Inn). Getting a job at a supermarket or at a restaurant is never easy. The restaurants near me never stop hiring students, but I couldn't get a job at a restaurant for the life of me.

Supermarkets seem to only hire people who can work, most of the time. When filling out the applications, tell them you can work almost everyday. Let's say, you prefer to work 3 or 4 days a week. If you are available to work 5 days, so that on the applications. But if you get called in for an interview, speak to them about working the days you would like.
