Danny Said:
If you have all A's in High School and one B, are your chances of getting into a GOOD college still feasible? We Answered:
Yes, your sister is GOOD. She will get into a good college. Just because she got one B doesn't mean her chances of getting into a good college are ruined. She is a member of various things, so there's no need to worry. Even if she doesn't get all As, she will go to a great school.Samuel Said:
Is sophomore year of high school (10th grade) too early to start planning for college? We Answered:
No, it's not. For one thing, it's never too early to plan for the future. In addition, according to friends of mine who work in college admissions, starting your planning at this age has become quite common -- much more common now than it was a decade ago. 10th or 11th grade is typically the time that they start building relationships with prospective students. So you will not be alone -- quite the opposite -- if you start making serious inquiries now. I would recommend calling or emailing in advance of any actual visits, though; this will ensure that you will be able to see and do all the things you want to, and get the best value for your time. For my part, I went directly to college after 10th grade, and if you are reasonably advanced in your studies I would recommend that you consider this as an option. You'll be amazed how little you miss high school. (I went to an amazing little place called Shimer College, which I heartily recommend to anyone who might be considering this option.)

I am a student in a High School Anatomy and Physiology class our class wants to visit a morgue.?We Answered:
My guess is that the school will strike it down, for "insurance" (translation: lawsuits) reasons.Leslie Said:
Been a middle school teacher for 11 years, want to teach high school. Any tips or advice? We Answered:
I had transition of job from high school to middle school. My first experience was that of high school. Your observation is correct. High school students are more mature. They do things on their own. They are not required to be told to be regular in studies. They have sense of discipline, order, perfection etc in what they do. They seldom attack physically. They express their hatred for a person by their sharp, sarcastic and witty remarks(much like adults)It may seem weird, though, that inspite of being mature enough, they sometimes throw you off-balance. They are not open to tell whether or not they like a teacher. They have roundabout ways to express their opinion.
They are attentive and very responsive to teacher they like. However, teachers they hate are often put to test. They will try to test your mastery on the subject matter. They will mock at you if your response to their question is not-so-perfect. They test you if you feel jealous of other teachers who are more popular than you are. They often engage in arguments and observe our reactions very carefully.
The licenture program itself will tell you a lot about their cognitive development, learning styles, nature and nurture etc. Many a times its only after some experience that we understand the true importance of this licenture program.
If high students consider you as their best teacher, you have three reasons to be proud of yourself.
1)For having a mastery in your subject
2)For being humorous and an excellent communicator
3)For being humble, compassionate and thier best confidante.

I envy college students...and their lifestyle..?We Answered:
Thanks for serving."They" should envy you.
I don't advise partying and living it up.
I do advise being the best you that God created you to be. "They" cannot possibly understand what you were part of; neither can I.
But my husband does, and so does my son (husband Vietnam, son was in Bosnia, Kosovo).
VA may help with support; be careful with meds; but I know they have developed an excellent clinical understanding of PTSD (not that you have that), but sometimes you need to talk things out and just have someone listen.
God bless,
