Even though you find it boring and way too much pressure, you shouldn't do that because education is important. You get better jobs when you graduate from college. Better jobs=more money.

People will look at you in the future and think poorly of you .... a person who can't accept a few rules and just show up to get an education and diploma.

Did you know the Military won't accept folks with a GED or dropped out of school ... they have raised the bar.

Do you really want to screw your self that badly....

Drop out .. fill out the forms.
Emancipation: Prove to a court you can support your self and are responsible (work, pay bills, clothe and feed your self, etc)

Make a better choice.

I dropped out of school in june after my junior year because i got denied credits for all my absenses (id be a junior again this year). Some options you have are.....

1 Getting your GED asap - i was planning on doing this. its hard to find a job that pays more than minimum wage if you put on your application that you do not currently attend school, graduated, or have a GED.

2 Get a job - again, it will be easier if you get your GED. try finding a job that pays decent... i work at Best buy at 9$ an hour. If you have enough hours per week you will be fine to support yourself.

3 Go back to school when your ready - ive decided that this is what im going to do. Its better on job applications to say you have a diploma rather than a GED. The only way getting a GED is good is if you plan on going to community college after getting it, because then on your application you put down your college info instead of secondary level education info.

If you dont plan on going to college, some states have ways of helping out people... for instance in Pennsylvania if you make below the 50th percentile annually than the people who live in a certain town, you can qualify for section 8 housing (reduced price). You can also apply for food stamps and other things to benefit you.

What i plan to do is.... work at my job as much as i can and then in september Im going back to an alternative school to finish my junior and senior year. After i get my diploma im not going to college. i might possibly go to a trade school to get certification in something to make even more money (however these jobs can be physically demanding thats why people would rather go to college than do these jobs). If i dont go to trade school im still going to try to find a job that will pay a decent amount of money so i can support myself. And i plan to get government assistance (as i said section 8 housing and food stamps, etc)....

Its not easy being a drop out but if you are strongwilled and believe you can still be successful, then you can... its not the worst choice ever to drop out, its just that it will be harder on you. But you can still pull through.

It could be one of two things. Now, if the child or adult has enough of the required credits to be considered for early graduation, they can sign out. They will not get to graduate with the class, but they will get transcripts for college if they choose to go onto a higher education. Signing out of school and dropping out of school are the same thing, if they do not have enough credits to qualify for a diploma. Technically, they just went and filed papers saying that the student will not be graduating and they think it's better because they made the decision to face the school and choose to drop out. When they sign out, they immediately get paperwork that states that the child, if they are under 18 is allowed to go to work and be treated as an adult, i.e. working unrestricted hours over 30, etc. Same thing as dropping out, only they got papers immediately. Big mistake!
