Jacqueline Said:

Is it possible to earn a high school diploma if you have a GED?

We Answered:

I believe your friend can still get a diploma.

GED is a certificate that qualifies a person to have the proficiency of knowledge at the high-school standard. This is quite different than a diploma.

A diploma is a document issued by an educational institution that shows the work level successfully accomplished at the high-school level. This is considered an educational achievement for the work that has been done. Therefore, if your friend goes to an adult education program, they can likely get the diploma.

Good luck

Toni Said:

i go to a life skills center to earn my high school diploma?

We Answered:

Well.....because you are working on the computer and the internet is blocked off, you should be focused. Just do your work, to the best of your abilities, and go home. Those centers don't teach students.......so you aren't really learning aything.

Lester Said:

Help! I want to earn my high school diploma and keep/earn credits, but dont want to go to a public school.?

We Answered:

If you choose to do your schoolwork at home, you will recieve a diploma from the person in charge, NOT your state or local school. If you take all your courses online, and pay them to grade your work, like Penn Foster, your diploma would come from them. It is up to the individual institution to decide if your prior credits will transfer. If you are interested in what the laws in your state require for homeschooling, please visit the site below for great info, and many links to companies that will provide you with a diploma from the state they are based in.
