you said that you don't want to burn the bridges, well I'm the same way I always tell people on my myspace that I'm busy. I know it sound cheesy but I always tell them that I just have time to check my messages and if its something really important than I reply. but wording really is everything. tell them its great to see how they are doing and you doing great but you have been super busy with school or work and you will keep in touch. It always works, you can keep them on your friend lists and send out bulletins with up dates. If they are persistent than just reply to every couple of comments they send, and be persistent with your busy life.

Very true...Lot of friends ie every tom dick and harry from school and college have connected to me on facebook.... Though Its nice to see some of them.....its very irritating to say hi to all of them and but i do for the sake of courtesy and that's all there is to it, Eddie.... i dont add them...but i do have friends with whom i chat ...one of them is from school and its a 25 years old friendship .....we both are always there for each other...Eddie, i only have time and patience for long term friendship.....i can only stick to ones i am close to... others dont matter much.
