First off, get your high school equivalency done through independent study and taking the G.E.D. is your best bet. You can also take classes in a Vocational School, which are quite popular as alternative high school studies. You take courses that matter in a particular vocation and still get a high school diploma. The third option is to actually attend high school, but I think you will find lots of barriers to this avenue.

Taking classes on line has never been easier. I an advocate for traditional classroom environment myself, but on line is good too. Of course, pros and cons. Whether you can get it "free", anything worth having is you get what you pay for. Certainly available on line. Good luck.
