While there are a few sites where you can get a real high school diploma, most of them are scams, and ALL of the sites claiming to have the GED online are scams. You cannot take the real GED online. To avoid scams, ignore all the websites claiming you can get a GED online, all the websites claiming you can get your diploma in much less than 4 years, all the ones that say you can just pass their test and get a diploma, and all the ones that don't make you do coursework. Any real online diploma would make you take the courses.

They can do the same with an online diploma as they can with a regular one. Not much. These days you need more to make decent money. If you are lazy, it is up to you on what you want to achieve. Laziness is not a disease, it's curable!!! A mental issue is different. It depends on the mental issue and the severity of it. If it is that serious, you should get disability, if it's not, you have to work through it.
Basically, if you are able and have the desire, you can do whatever you want. But you have to really want it.
