Suggestions in starting a high school art club?We Answered:
You have great ideas.First, you should figure out how to start a club. You will probably have to talk to the dean/principle about your idea, and then maybe talk to an art teacher to help you. Then, make fliers/announcement to let your peers know.Aaron Said:
Where are all the life lessons in high school? We Answered:
I would agree with you that we should be taught stuff like this. If you're fortunate enough, some high schools do offer these kinds of classes as electives. However, these are not difficult to learn. There is a plethora of books on personal finance in bookstores and libraries. You could ask your parents or an adult you feel comfortable talking to. There are also a number of websites that can be useful. It's just a matter of making the most out of the resources you have.

I need some suggestions and tips regarding starting a high school art club?We Answered:
okay so you want people to feel comfortable when going to the art club for the first few meetings?I'm going to say that your first meeting needs to be inviting. The best way to do that is to open the club and inviting other artists with pizza. lol It sounds funny but when kids hear pizza they'll be there to listen to you. Your next few club meetings should be about why everyone is at the art club.
Ask why all these artists came here? Get answers, and make sure your talking to everyone, maybe have a sheet where they fill out reflecting their goals in art and what they would like to improve on, give them tools other than art tools, such as websites they can visit, articles to read, anything that might spark an artists attention. It has to involve art.
Let people know its not about their skill level of drawing, and your not pressured to draw every time you have club meetings, but to just come, enjoy the fun atmosphere, and discuss easy art topics that everyone enjoys.
But definitely start off with pizza, see if your school can budget the pizza into their monthly budget so you can try and do it once a month. Young artists can eat, and you can hold the floor to speaking about art.
Best of luck!

What is a good rate for art lessons? We Answered:
The plural form of medium is media. Be sure you sound experienced, then charge $20 a day.Martha Said:
Are there art lessons offered in college that teach u how to draw?We Answered:
Of course there are drawing classes in an art college, but you are expected to have SOME abilitybefore you get there. Then they get into all that other stuff--shading, different techniques, etc. Classes are more specific in college than in high school, which is mainly trying to give you a broad
background.
