High School Classmates

Gene Said:

How in touch are you with your former high school classmates?

We Answered:

I only have a handful of friends from high school that I keep in contact with (we all go to the same college). Honestly, that's all I need.

Sheila Said:

What is the best way to find former high school classmates from the year 1970.?

We Answered:

facebook... make a group for ur school and class. u'll be suprised how many people will join (ie. Washington High '70)

Dwayne Said:

Am I less likely to get into a college if many high school classmates are also applying/get accepted?

We Answered:

That depends on the college and, I suspect, the school. Forex, my HS always got the same number of kids into Harvard and Yale, year after year. I can only conclude that they had a certain number of slots for my school.

Alexander Said:

Is it average to miss your old high school classmates?

We Answered:

I think this is normal, everyone goes through this. I graduated in 2000, and still till this day I drive pass by old high school, and miss it.

Max Said:

Is it mentally healthy to obess over your high school classmates? I graduated 6 years ago!?

We Answered:

It's because people change so much after high school. All that stuff about "friends till the end" and faithfulness to the school etc...just isn't how it really is. They consider themselves "adults" now...and you probably remind them of their adolescence Even family members can be this way. I've tried to contact high school friends too. They email me a couple of times...then quit. They've built new lives. None of us are how we were in high school. We just wish we were. It's the naustalgia that we hang onto.

Jamie Said:

Do you think my high school classmates will mostly stick around my town?

We Answered:

its not likely.
after highschool everybody goes in there own seperate directions, just like you.

Enrique Said:

Is it a good idea to ask high school classmates about business connections?

We Answered:

It's tough to get a job with this economy. Yes, it's a good idea to ask former classmates. However, make sure to ask your friends and the responsible kids, not the immature jerks who still haven't grown up or the people you had a grudge with. They might either not help you, or their recommendation may be worse than no recommendation.
