High School Credits

Alan Said:

How will current high school credits switch over if I were to start Penn Foster?

We Answered:

I know that the credits you earn will not be dropped. They will stay on your transcript and will show how many credits you have completed. I am not sure how you show Penn Foster that you have those credits, but I am sure if you call their phone number (help line?) They can help you with that... Good luck!

Ramon Said:

How many high school credits would I need to go to an overseas university?

We Answered:

Oxford and Cambridge don't do admissions based on credits. They demand at least 3 AP classes in relevant subjects with a 5 for each and certain scores for SAT's.

Doris Said:

How long does it take to complete 18 high school credits?

We Answered:

it depends how many classes you can take at that time, how many credits are given to the specific class.

ask a counselor or something.

Anna Said:

Can someone explain high school credits?

We Answered:

The .33 credit course would generally be a trimester elective or it could only meet certain days of the week for 1 semester. The whole key to credits is that a year long high school course that meets everyday Monday through Friday for at least 45 minutes will give you .5 credits for the first semester and .5 credits for the second semester.

It works this way to hopefully help your grade point average. It means that you just take a semester exam and a year long exam too.

So, each half of the year you get an averaged grade ans some electives just meet for one semester anyway.

Make sure you choose electives you will really like to balance out the courses you must take.

Sean Said:

How many high school credits are needed?

We Answered:

It's not set by the state. It's set by the individual school districts. If you pass all of your classes, then you shouldn't be behind. Contact the school you'll be attending or visit their website.
