Help need more info. What is the occasion for the decorating. Is this a winter concert? A Christmas Concert, What are the decorations you already have up? Any way if it is a Christmas Concert you could cut out white silhouettes of Charles Dickens characters from bulletin board paper, or snowflakes from poster board and put white Christmas lights through little holes keeping the cords to the back or edge them with glue and silver glitter. Cut out large pointsetta's or Holly in white paper (red will not show up well). That's a start I'll check back to see if you give more details and can give you more ideas.

Alot of kids dont have thier HIghschools on there, is it a private school or a new school? if it is then you can set up a network for your school. if you have an older school thats been around for ages then trying spelling it a diffrent way like "Newton County Highcshool" might just be "NCHS" or "NEWTON HIGH" play aroud with the wording and if still to no avail you find it try your friends facebooks, and its no longer required to be in a network. BUT if you joina network you MUST get "verrified" that you go to thagt school, live in that town ect or they WILL shut down your site.... the FAQ page could be of some help as well

Check out the career finder at www.bls.gov (Bureau of Labor Statistics. See if your school has interest tests you can take. Remember that interest tests are based on the idea that you like to do what others in a particular field like to do. That isn't necessarily true or the whole picture. On the bls site, click on every possible field you have the remotest interest in and read about it. This might spark an idea.

If you do a search for free interest tests and are wary about being inundated with spam, get an aol or gmail address and use it. You will find enough free sites on a "career interest tests" search to keep you busy for a while. Do them all. If it's time to pay, do it through your school counselor.

Another way is to get a college catalog and find out what classes are necessary for a particular field. Is that what you want to learn? Don't omit technical schools.

Your school counselor or the senior counselor has a tremendous amount of knowledge and information available. Ours used to follow students during their college careers (the university sent statistics) to see what made somebody a success or not.

My school popular kids fall under this:
athletes - football, basketball and baseball players.
cheerleaders.
student council members.
PEP UNIT

I've been referred to as popular because I:
1. was a cheerleader 9th-10th grade year
2. played softball
3. apart of student council 9th-11th grade(I'm in the 11th grade)
4. apart of PEP Unit.

Basically the kids who "rule" the social scene at my school are black(cause they are the dominate athletes) and the "down white kids". And no the "down white kids" aren't wangstas or anything, they just chill with the black athletes and that puts them on the chill level.
We have tailgate parties before everyone football game, we have special permission to pull our cars on the outside fence of the baseball field and cheer from the top of our cars. Student council members are basically popular because they are at the front of pep rallies and stuff so people know them. Also, most of the kids are 2nd and 3rd generation and they come from the well known families the town.

I suggest you join a sport, student council or something. You need to put yourself out there but don't be desperate about it. I know plenty of kids who try way to hard and its ridiculous. I suggest you immerse yourself into the social scene but don't bombard it. Because we've have instances when someone came to the tailgate party that wasn't invited and they just ruined a good time.

I didn't go on a quest for popularity it just happened. I'm not shy so I guess that works to my advantage. I joined clubs I liked, played sports that I've been playing since I was 7(that's another thing I grew up with most of the popular kids, I played club softball with half the cool kids) and then people starting knowing who i was and I assume that's popularity lol.

One thing you shouldn't do is date someone because you think they can make you popular. Don't go around sleep with guys because you think that'll make you popular because some kinds of limelight can ruin a girls complexion.
