I hated my high school five year reunion nothing changed everyone was still the same even after all those years! Why bother.

My reunion is next month. My husband's was last year. He got a postcard in the mail. I guess it's easier to find men b/c their last names are the same and like you said with the computer it wouldn't be too hard to find the address of someone if you had the name and last known address (which schools would have records of the address when the person was in school).

I found out about mine b/c it was in the local paper. They list reunions, marriages, engagements, community events, etc. i knew it had been the right number of years so I started looking for it. The person organizing it had her email in the announcement.

After that, it's all networking. If you're concerned you'll be moving and getting married in the next 10 yrs and they won't find you.....I'd suggest keeping in touch with the student council people. They are the ones who will put it together.

We Answered:

YES - in FACT, the people who were brutally harassed, called "nerds", and who most people THOUGHT would become losers, made it a POINT to go to our reunions - we have had 3 reunions so far.

They did it JUST to rub our noses in the dirt. One of the guys EVERYONE constantly called a "nerd", drove up in a Maserati, wearing Armani - he now works for NASA as a REAL certified "rocket scientist" - no joke!! I had several of the girls I had always been jealous of because they were incredibly gorgeous, admitted that they had always been jealous of ME because all the "cool" guys hung out at my house. They had no idea that was because my DAD was a master mechanic and built superb hot rods, not because of me - - I was never even attracted to those type of guys.

It's pretty amazing to see not only what they end up looking like, but who they end up being. Even some of the "preps" turned in to stoners!!

I would talk to the planning committee - because I would imagine kids who moved & graduated from a different school would be welocome as well as those who dropped out or graduated in a different year

Now that were adults I think their won't be the high school clique-y experience - so ask!

sign up for myspace and do a search.

If so and so list themselves as an alumni of the school it would show up in the search.

I dunno...I found this group recently, and it's answering this question for me. No, I don't think I would go ;) Just me though. No reason to justify myself and what I do now you know? I want to keep in touch with the 2-4 people that I kept in touch with after and that's all.....no reason to relive it.
