It depends upon what state you are in, and what type of 11th grade school you plan to enroll in.

Some private schools are College Prep, very difficult. Some public schools are very good, and equivalent to British schools.

Remember, that in Britain, you don't get to 11th grade without passing a test, usually around age 14 proving you are qualified for continuing. This doesn't usually happen in the USA pubic schools.

Everyone has right to continue High School, until grade 12. Many in grade 12 still cannot read or do math well. You can see on YA, how badly many teens spell today, too.

Overall, most 11th graders haven't been exposed to any math byond basic Algebra, and many have only had to take two science courses, and NO foreign langage courses.

I think you will do well.
But, they don't serve Yorkshire pudding in the cafeteria, nor meat pies, you'll miss that, I'm sure.

American High School Diploma is only equal to 5 GCSE but this wouldn't get you in to University. You have to study two more years and get A levels at least three A level to enter University.
