To begin with the location of Hollywood High School which is located at the northwestern block of Highland Avenue and Sunset Boulevard and then traveling westward on Sunset Boulevard to Fairfax Avenue where you would turn left and go southward on Fairfax to the southeastern block of Fairfax and Melrose Avenue. I'd say that the whole trip would take less than 12 minutes by car and covers a distance of about 2.5 miles.

It's a public school, so it's free, and it has a really good performing arts program. I have several young friends who are in the arts program and they really like the school. They take AP classes and are receiving a good education. It's the kind of school where you can do well if you're motivated.

True, it's not the best or fanciest school. But it is what you make of it. My son has some drama class friends that attend NH and they like it and they're not *ghetto*.

NH has SLCs - Small Learning Communities, including an Entertainment and Media Academy. They have a Highly Gifted Magnet, and a Biological Sciences / Zoo Magnet. They have a really good after school program. If you want to go to a good college, you can do so after going to North Hollywood High. It's up to you, the opportunity is there. = )
