Independent Study High School

independent study high school math courses?

We Answered:

Pennfoster.edu

Thats the schooling I go through I think you should do it you get your diploma,
They mail you the books,
You read,
And then you go online & you enter in the exam number, and then you fill in the questions online after you did them in your workbook.
It's very simple as far as the whole process goes,
And you learn alot. It's a VERY good program. I highly recommend it!!

What are some good independent study high schools?

We Answered:

University of Nebraska-Lincoln has an online/correspondence high school that is fully accredited. The cheapest one I've ever heard ofm however, is the American School (also accredited) out of Chicago. Whatever you choose, you want to make sure it is accredited by a "regional" accrediting body, not only a national one. The regional ones are the ones that accredit your own high school where you are going now. National ones don't usually count. It will say something like "accredited by the Northwest Association of Schools and Colleges", etc. Accreditation means that your credits will transfer back if you ever find yourself in a public school situation again(who knows what the future holds?) and colleges will recognize your diploma.

Which is better: Univeristy of Nebraska-Lincoln Independent Study High School or Indiana Univeristy HS?

i go to unl online. through the high school. you have the option of pre-cal, but not calc, unless you do that part through the college. there is help on anything that you need, and any questions that you have, are forwarded onto the actual professors that work their. you only have to take the classes that you want to take that fill the credit for your graduation, and they have like 500 classes to choose from. you are required one of every core class a year, and then like 2 electives, or something like that, and if you have previous high school credit, it rolls over. they even offer really good electives, such as digital photography, and piano theory, there is something for everyone. you can go to the homepage,a nd they will send you a free imformation packet (it is more like a book lol) that has all of the course descriptions, the requirements, and the paperwork to send in if you want to take any courses. they do online only, print only, and one that is a little of both. i hope that this helped you out some, and made your decision a little easier here is the main link if you dont already have it. nebraskahs.unl.edu
