Job Listings For High School Students

Virginia Said:

Are college degrees worth anything?

We Answered:

LOL being that most colleges are nothing more than "diploma mills" that focus on social engineering and changing history to fit a liberal anti American agenda rather than history, math and science ( except for the foreign students with a better work ethic who come here to be doctors and engineers ) I would say we have a bunch of highly opinionated and vocal children who actually know nothing but are in a hurry to tell you or protest about it.

Don Said:

Where can a high school student find part-time work in Los Angeles?

We Answered:

Check the city you live in for teen employment opportunities. They might have employment programs (or training programs) or jobs with park and rec. You might be able to find something on the city website.

Have you asked your high school counselor? They usually have information on jobs that you can't get otherwise.

Where teens work in Pasadena:

Fast Food restaurants
Retail
Recreation places, like Rose Bowl Aquatic Center, Gerrish Swim & Tennis Club, Parks & Rec Dept, Tom Sawyer camp, Summerkids camp
Target

The job market is really tight, as you've found out. Try not to take the rejection personally and keep applying, hopefully something will pop up.

Good luck!

Roger Said:

I CANNOT find a job. Any suggestions?

We Answered:

Try JC Penneys-this company is friendly for personnel newly entering the workforce and students.

Tamara Said:

what are some job listings that don't have to do with math? i mean if not then less math?

We Answered:

What about looking into helping at a pre-school, nursery (greenhouse), restaurant, etc? There are plenty of jobs for those who aren't mathematically inclined.

Bobbie Said:

where can i apply as a history teacher in the philippines?

We Answered:

Just try sending out your resume to schools that you might like to consider as your future working place. Also, check out the websites of some schools since these usually feature updated job postings.
Good luck!

Samantha Said:

A good website to look for local job listings?

We Answered:

Your newspaper's classified adds.
Also your online newspaper - although they don't post as many job openings.
Your local employment/ unemployment office will have a board or a book with current job openings.

Always apply in person, have a resume no matter how simple.
Ask to hand the application to the manager when you are finished filling it out.
Shake his/her hand and sell yourself.

Sandra Said:

I am a 23 year old college graduate. How do I look older?

We Answered:

It's not how old you look it's how old you act. Trust me I'm 24 and people think I'm 30 or so. You want to look young as long as you can because someday youth will just be an after thought. But I stand up straight and walk straight and carry myself in a professional manor. I'm not saying that you don't but that helps.
