It can be very difficult for high school students to find a job, as most employers want workers who can commit to more than just the summer. Your best bet would be to find a kids summer camp in your community that accepts teens as CITs or something of this sort - it's a good work experience that can help you get hired later on.

i believe they can. the private christian college in my town sends spies into the popular bars to take pictures of their students drinking and smoking which is against their policy and they will get kicked out if they are caught... they get away with it.... plus bosses look on people's facebooks to see what their employees are up to and will fire them if there's anything that makes the company look bad... and they get away with it too... so i would suggest only adding people you know and keeping your fb private.

Dress about one step up from what you would wear doing the job, or better. Walk in with your head held hi, talk clearly and loud enough to be heard. Be respectful, ask questions, but not dumb ones you know the answer to already. You should apply at any job that interests you and asks for six months of experience or less if you don't have any. Be prepared for rejection, it is a tough market right now. Realistically you will be turned down by ninety nine percent of employers, but this just means you better put in a hundred applications.
