Any credit with a "U" is a university level course, which is taught in the belief that students in the course will be heading towards University. University courses include academic subjects such as English, sciences, and geography.

An "O" course is one that is not geare towards students preparing for workplace, college, or university. OPen courses are those geared more towards enjoyment or a partivular skille, including drama, music, and world religions.

If you want to go to University, you need at least 6 grade 12 U or M (college) courses, including one of 12U english.

First you have to take your SAT... and SAT subject tests...
Your essay
Your teacher recommendation letter (preferably 2)
Their application form

85 is not a bad mark and it will get you into some programs at McGill. For example you can get into most engineering programs with a 79.3 actually. See this link:

Also keep in mind that they just look at Grade 12 marks.

Your local community living.
Most of the special needs kids in your school wil attend a summer day camp, or day care. Money is always needed for fun things to do for the summer.
Our association recently recieved a donation of a school bus rental for a day. We were able to take a trip to the Science Centre.
Try having a BBQ fundraiser. You can probably get some things donated.

well at my school you submit them as you get them, you need 40 by grade 12 to graduate.

one time my town was having a half marathon, and i volunteered to hand out water to the runners. i got 10 hours, it was so much fun!

also, if your parents' work ever has kids christmas parties, that's a good place to volunteer.

nursing homes, hospitals, it's pretty easy to find places.
