Cheerleading in San Diego High Schools? We Answered:
almost every high school i have ever been to has a cheerleading team. they are usually made up of about 15-30 girls and even sometimes boys. most schools just have JV and V but a lot do have freshmen. you will have to find out if your particular school has a team but most do. they cheer at the football games and basketball games mostly but sometimes at track meets, soccer, swimming, whatever, and a lot of them complete in their districts. there are also some non-school teems like Elite, and Unlimited Cheer so if your school doesnt have a team you can try one of thoseRebecca Said:
How many years do i have to attend a cc to get a transfer to cal state university of san bernardino??We Answered:
no no no. "Years" is high school talk.Talk to a counselor. You have to follow the IGETC or something like it. I think you have to have at least college algebra as minimum math, Critical Thinking (English, Philosphy, etc) and for cal states you have to have public speaking also. These are just the very basic stuff. You also have to have a certain amount of credits under different categories like physical sciences, behavioral sciences, etc.
Since you want to do nursing you will most likely need a higher math than the minimum, and lots of science classes.
How long it takes depends on what level you start at for math and english, the lower/further you are from having the minimum level to transfer the longer it will take you to get to it. At CC's you test into your math, english, and reading classes and work your way to what your major requires. So assuming you do really well and go to school full time, its possible to finish in 2-3 years time. That includes ALL classes you will need, not three years of just one subject. School is divided into semesters. This means that what would normally be a year or math in high school is done in about half the time at the CC. So in one year, if you were to go to school for the fall, spring, and summer semesters, you could have three math classes done (assuming you pass them) instead of the one you would have regularly completed in high school. Like high school, you can take more than one class but it is all your choice. Of course the more you take and the more you pass the faster you will finish what you need to do.
Your high school grades won't matter if you go to a CC, but that doesn't mean you should follow that pattern in community college. Try to turn that around because when it comes time to transfer, your grades matter again!
Nursing is impacted at a lot of schools, which means more people trying to get in than the school can fit. Because of that, you should try your best so that you have better chances,
Also, most CC's have nursing programs. This might also mean that you are at a CC longer because you have to wait to be accepted into the program. At my school, I know of people who waited 2 years to get into the program. Once you get into the program, THEN you get to start taking transferable nursing classes. In the meantime, people take sciences and related classes.
You should definitely talk to someone at the community college you are going to attend so that they can help you out. Also check out www.assist.org and input the info of what school you would be transferring from and nursing as the major at CSUSB.
