Scholarships For High School Sophomores

Vickie Said:

What are the best scholarships out there for high school students?

We Answered:

talk to your counselor and get a FAFSA form, this form will make you eligible for many scholarships. Your counselor should be able to give you guidance as well. And don't be so hard on your mom, if it weren't for her you wouldn't be alive.

I am currently a High School Sophomore. Can I start applying for scholarships?

We Answered:

Hi Lauren, there are scholarships available for students who are not yet high school junior or seniors and you are so smart to be looking already. Go here for more info:

Sorry that's so long!! :)

Floyd Said:

Any scholarships I can apply for during my sophomore year in high school?

We Answered:

First, you are so smart for starting to think about scholarships now, while you are still early in your high school years!!

Second, yes, there are scholarships out there for sophomores. I advise you to check out the big scholarship listing books from your local library. In them, you will find scholarships organized by your interests, race, intended college major, club affiliations, etc... They also clearly state which students may apply for each scholarship. There are not as many for sophomores, but there are quite a few.

Good luck!! :)

I am a sophomore in high school, can i start applying for college scholarships?

We Answered:

I commend you for starting to think about applying for scholarships so early! The best thing for you to do now is to get in lots of community service hours. Also, start keeping track of any honors or awards that you have won and make a special place in your home for the ones to come. There are scholarships out there for high school sophomores, but not too many. You can go to http://www.how2winscholarships.com for more scholarship winning help. Good luck!

What are some good, legitimate scholarships for a sophomore in High School to apply for.?

We Answered:

Read Kaplan's "Scholarships", 2006 edition. Most scholarships are for juniors and seniors, but there are a few scholarships from Kinder thru college. Also check your High school fin aid office. They should have several applications. Most of all, KEEP YOUR GRADES UP! I didn't receive ANY fin aid from scholarships I applied to, despite my 4.0 GPA, but once I applied to my state's university, they awarded me the full ride.

Scholarships for a high school sophomore with disabilities?

We Answered:

You can search for one or more at http://studentscholarshipsearch.com/ if you type in "disabled" or "disability." I know that Bank of America offers one which should show up.
