Science Fair Project Ideas For High School

Clifton Said:

Science Fair Project ideas for HIGH SCHOOL sudents?

We Answered:

It sounds rather general;-} maybe you want to be specific.
For instance, compare heart rates with different music type:
e.g. rap, hard rock, classical, soft melody, etc.
You'd need equipment to play music, earphones, etc.
& a simple way to measure heart-rate electronically.
You could try this with volunteers & chart the results.

Where can I find good biology science fair project ideas at high school level? Google is useless...?

Although this might sound like MORE work, it's MUCH more rewarding (and fun) to think of your own.

Pick a topic that you're interested in...maybe it's animal science, if that's the case, test the intelligence of mice by building a maze or something. If it's environmental science, test how plants will react to global warming, perhaps by increasing the amount of heat they are exposed to. If it's botony, perhaps test and see if flowers absorb more water if sugar or another substance is added. If it's anatomy, try dissecting something -- you get the picture.

If you're still having trouble (understandable) try going to some local science fairs. (I've gotten some great ideas from these) Or talk with older siblings/friends about what they've done in the past. The possibilities are endless!

Finally, your local library no-doubt has some science fair books.

Discuss It!
