Statistics On High School Dropouts

Mabel Said:

Why are american statistics so negative when it comes to blacks?

We Answered:

It is what it is. Sometimes the numbers happen to confirm stereotypes. What would suggest? fudging the numbers so they aren't so negative? Or how about rewording them; perhaps something like "Good news, 40% of black Americans will not go to jail at some point in their lives"...

Javier Said:

Opinion on Statistics of Fatherless Children?

We Answered:

Of the six things you listed...As a child I was guilty of 3 of them, I grew up in a fatherless home.

Of the six things you listed..my husband is guilty of 0, he also grew up in a fatherless home. And he does not disrespect women and is quite handy as he was the oldest of 6 children and took on the "father figure" role himself at a fairly young age to his younger siblings.
Not saying boys don't need fathers, because they do..just saying you're making a very big generalization with those additional details.
Not every man who grows up fatherless will be as you've described.

I'm a strong advocate that kids not only need, but they deserve both parents.

Jimmie Said:

What would you do to prevent a child from dropping out of school?

We Answered:

Military style training camp. They must go through 16 weeks of training just as a recruit would. While being taught a trade of their choice.

Mathew Said:

How many kids, yearly, graduate with a high school diploma in the US?

We Answered:

From what I was able to read online about this is that about 70% of the kids who are seniors in high school graduate on time. Each state has a different percent and I don't think the USA does a survey every year. It's kinda like when they count the population. They do it every few years. Here are a few links of the stuff I found...I hope this helps.

Karl Said:

If every child in America graduated high school and/or college, would there be enough jobs for everyone?

We Answered:

Education would become big business and there would be lots of new jobs in the field. It just ain't gonna happen. Too many second, third generation welfare, druggies, content with crime and whatever to get by. Gives them a good excuse to be pissed at the man, Whitey for all their troubles.
