I would go with Westlake. They have an awesome football team and like the person before me said they have money so their academics is GREAT.
Anderson isn't a bad school by any means its just not anything near Westlake.

Oh and btw I went to hs in Round Rock so I know nothing about their teachers or clique problems but since most of the kids up there do have a fair amount of money im sure they have a bigger problem then I did 4 years ago.

Having had the displeasure of going to that school for about 2 years (before getting kicked out and sent to a "continuation school"), I can confirm first hand the school actually exists. Ironically, the school is actually located in Thousand Oaks, CA less than a mile away from the Westlake Village, CA town from which most of its students reside (this also puts the school in a different county: Thousand Oaks is in Ventura County; Westlake Village is in Los Angeles County)

It is certainly NOT the best school in austin, the kids are all snobs and preppy, the classes are extremely hard, the football team sucks, and the cheerleaders are mostly fat slobs.

Harvard-Westlake has an extremely rigorous curriculum and the tuition is more than twice as much as Loyola, it is coed.

Loyola is boys only, a more rigorous curriculum than many Catholic schools, and very reasonably priced.

Both are excellent schools, but unless your friend is at top student who is willing to do 4 - 5 hours of homework a night and on the weekends, and deal with over-competitive kids, he should not consider H-W. Generally I'd say kids are happier at Loyola, more of a supportive community feeling.
