E Learning Solutions
Dawn Said:
what industry e-commerce solutions are used by web developers? We Answered:
It really depends on what you are trying to do with it. Smaller stores (and there's a ton of them) will be just fine using open source solutions like Zen-Cart or Joomla / VirtueMart. They are customizable and powerful enough for majority of smaller retailers.Larger guys build systems from scratch because they need integration with returns tracking, phone order systems, etc.
I'd say a good approach is to learn an open source system and then look under the hood to understand how it's built, etc. so you can gain enough knowledge to start building solutions from scratch if needed.
Good luck :)

Help me learn about information technology???We Answered:
This is not the right place for this. Answers.yahoo.com is for Questions, which have a Best Answer. You didnt even ask a question. You are trying to start a discussion. You should do that in groups.yahoo.comBut I will give you a tidbit based on my experience in computers for as long as computers have been around. At this point, if it isnt fun then dont bother. If someone tells you the "smart" thing to pursue, then by the time you get there it will likely not be the smart answer anymore.
But I dont want to discourage you. Pick whichever of the above you like. Pursue it as your major. But to hedge your bet pick a minor in ANYTHING else. Not as a backup. I mean get creative and merge the two things.
By the time you get a specialty in any of the above topics it will be on the downslide with many people looking for work in that field. It has happened many many times in computers already. But, everybody needs computers. Medicine, law, cars, sports, politics, even mining. Pick something else you like and tie one of the computer subjects into that. Database, networking, animation, games, AI, anything you want. Get them both on your resume and instead of mvoing to the back of the specialists line you can go to the front of the other line.

I am very glad you gainedthose two contracts. Instead of
seeking either a loan or venture capital, why not sell the contracts--that
is something I am sure you
are familiar with but if not, I can
guide you--briefly for free.

any e-learning softwares that integrate with PayPal?We Answered:
Yes, there are a few of them.If your course is in the form of a digital file, (something they download) you can set it up with PayVeX
http://www.geniegate.com/listings/payvex…
This is by far the easiest way.
Or, if it is a membership style product, you could set up GenieGate or Amember.

(Full disclosure, I own GenieGate)
You could also use amember,

These packages typically use something called "IPN" (Instant Payment Notification) when a payment is made with paypal, their website sends this IPN to software running on your website. In this manner, your website can be made aware if the person has made a payment.
If you want to do IPN yourself, (write your own software) I've made a paypal IPN "class file" available for free:
http://www.geniegate.com/other/paypal/
This requires programming however. (you just over-ride the methods with database access calls, make sure and confirm txn and payment amount/currency)
