I like My first Leap Pad. My 4 year old has had it since he was 3 and he adores it. It goes every time we get in the car. I agree with the other posts variety is a big deal and Leap Pad is just one big system and then you can get all the books and cartridges to make it different.Plus it does have thomas which is my son's favorite. I have the leap pad in a tote by his carseat and then a big binder with plastic pockets to hold all the different books and cartridges. It saves room and allows for variety.

the leapster explore is AMAZING!! i even like it lol, but it keeps them quiet in the car and busy for HOURS which is nice when im trying to watch my stories and they r just too bad
