Learn A Language
Marshall Said:
On average, how long does it take for a native speaker of English to learn a Semitic language? We Answered:
A semitic language has no relation to English. If you are gifted, and study really hard, it should take you from a few years to many years. Languages are simply not easy. But learning them opens your world.Good luck and congratulations for your itnerest.

How to learn a language similar to the way a child learns? We Answered:
Yes, you can do it:Move to the country you want to be in and NEVER speak English with anyone. That's how children learn language--they are totally immersed in it and have no other means of communication. You will learn because you have to. You can get a girlfriend, but I guarantee that you will spend more time talking English than her language. She's not going to be content sitting there with you and not being able to talk to you. She WILL speak English. I have a friend who tried that with his Russian girlfriend (he wanted to learn Russian). She NEVER talks Russian to him even though he asks all the time.

What language should I learn based on my Czechoslovakian heritage? We Answered:
oh, dear, there was no czechoslovakian language, they just had a common country, with two languages: czech and slovak. the two languages are very similar, though, and if you don't know, you can do one of two things:a. toss a coin and let fate decide
b. choose czech since it is spoken by more people, has a lot more interesting literature and movies, and so on.

What is the easiest or fastest language to learn? We Answered:
Spanish is considered one of the world's easiest languages, because the grammar is fairly regular, and it is a phonetic language (spelled as it is pronounced).Alice Said:
How to easily learn a self-taught language? We Answered:
Buy a good, college-level dictionary.Look for a book in that language that you would like to read if it were in English. Start with reading a page each day. Look up the words you don't know and write them down. Review the list each week.
Buy each month an interesting magazine in that language.
Watch regularly TV broadcasts and videos in that language, in original version with subtitles.
Look for a web-forum for people learning the language.
That's how I really learned English.

What is the easiest language to learn for English speaking people? We Answered:
Yes youre right. In my opinion, english is the hardest to learn if you dont speak it, and if you only speak english, everything else is really hard also.
My friend started with spanish, then moved on to Italian (since theyre so similar), and then went on to learning french :)
its possible but its very difficult
i think spanish is probably the easiest
try learning what ever second language you think you are surrounded by the most (such as Spanish if you live near a spanish community) etc
good luck!
