What are some good learning games for a 7 mo. old baby girl?

Rene Said:

Where can I learn some GOOD game design?

We Answered:

Try using Developer community sites like GameDev.net [1]

I recommend reading Mike McShaffry's Game Coding Complete [2] it has real examples and takes you through Games Design and Game Architecture.

The thing about GOOD game design is that to an extent it is a matter of opinion. When it comes to well designed Games the bulk of the effort and thought is devoted to the coding and the structure.

Does anyone know any good games for teaching Japanese?

We Answered:

Are you teaching them with kana? And how big is the group?

My Japanese teacher sometimes splits our class into two teams and has about five students stand in a row. She then tells us a word in English, and each student writes one kana of the Japanese version of that word. If everyone on the team writes the right kana, that team gets a point. I suppose that it could also be adapted if you're using romaji.

When we were learning kana, we played a version of memory when you had to find the kana and the romaji equivalent to make a match.

But these seem like they'd be better for students taking a long-term course; I'm thinking maybe you're teaching a single class...?

Tim Said:

good games to buy for a pc boy aged 7?

We Answered:

The best for a boy aged 7 is school and play outdoor games. Don't make their life vulnerable encouraging in PC or Video games. This is one of the major issues in US. Give them life, don't take life from them. Take your time and think about it.
