There are plenty of podcasts for learning a new language, and they are free. First, download itunes. Then you can google "learn French podcast" or whatever language you want, and there will be lots of sites. At each site, there will be a "subscribe" button. Press it and your itunes will launch. It'll grab the podcast and be ready to go onto your ipod the next time you sync.

BTW we get Rosetta Stone for free on our local library website. You could check to see if your library offers it. It's a great resource but you can't put it on your ipod.
