Learn French Fast

What is the best software to learn French fast? The best software to SPEAK French fast?We Answered:
Try this, I have been working with this in Spanish but it will work in French. Download TypeIt ReadIt (it is freeware) from http://www.schoolfreeware.com. Get a French voice installed in your computer. They cost around $30 - $40. Try the voice out with TypeIt ReadIt before you buy (This way you will not be out any money if this is not what you want). There are some demos of voices on the internet. Type, copy/paste French text into the program and then read along with the computer. It will help you on your pronunciation and comprehension. There is also a French spellchecker with the program and some nice tutorials on the site that can get up up and running in a few. Good luck and au revoir ;-)Priscilla Said:
How to learn French fast online? We Answered:
I think the most important thing is choosing the right kind of course. Audio courses can be a great way to learn the French language, but you must choose the right one which has all the correct qualities. You probably want an online course which includes some grammar and flash cards in addition to just audio. Visual learning aids are very effective.
I think that your idea of getting a French pen pal is an excellent one. You can use social networks like Facebook to easily make French speaking friends to practice with.
I'd also recommend watching French language films and listening to French music!

First you need to decide how much French you want to learn. Then you have to commit to it and persevere. As the author at the website http://www.how-to-learn-any-language.com says, learning a language to fluency is absolutely possible and I agree. One of the first challenges you'll meet is thinking that learning a language to fluency is impossible, or being told this by someone else. Don't let this be - http://how-to-learn-any-language.com/e/f… Again following the advice of the website author (who is an accomplished language learner), using a grammar book before getting to a higher level of learning may just be a waste of your time.
If you want to be able to reach a conversationally fluent level, I think your best bets are on the FSI courses, which are free. These courses were developed by the US Department of State decades ago for US Diplomats. It remains perhaps the most efficient (and most serious) way to learn a language. While you don't need to live in the country or even have a teacher /friend who speaks that to practice with, of course it would help.
The course focuses on ORAL skills almost entirely and has many, many hours of recorded audio by native speakers - I think about 18 hours in Units 1-12 and more from units 13-24. If you wish to become fluent in a language, going to a workbook and filling in blank spaces isn't going to do you any good.
Also and this is important for your pronunciation - When you are starting off do not try to pronounce a word just by looking at it especially if it is French because French orthography is very difficult. Just as importantly, never ever ever ever try to translate a French sentence word by word into English or vice versa. There is a French equivalent of the meaning, and there is an English equivalent meaning. A word that exists in the sentence in English may not even be in the French equivalent.

Listen. Listen to ppl around, that's the fastest way to learn a language. You will notice, after some time, that you use phrases that u've heard before. Try to talk with people even though you don't really speak french. They speak english for sure so they can help you. And try to do a course.
