Harold Said:

Is the german language a hard language to learn ?

We Answered:

Hi there

I am a fluent speaker of French, Spanish and Italian with English as my first language, and I started to learn to speak German two years ago and I'm fluent now. I actually found that it was easier to learn than any of the other languages that I have learnt and the pronunciation is quite easy to pick up once you start.

I have a friend who is taking a Polish course at university and she says that it is also easy to learn and pick up.

Hope this helps.

Joyce Said:

Is The German Language difficult to learn?

We Answered:

Bro,

German is not hard to learn, especially when you already speak a form of German now, yeah, I'm talking about ENGLISH is a German language. The "German" languages include Dutch, English, Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, and Icelandic (Vikings).

My point is that you already speak "German" and when you learn their language you will see how familiar and comfortable German will be. At first you'll be shy and won't want to make the "growling" sound because in English it sounds "funny and strange" to us but the better you "growl" the more compliments you will get so growl!

I was stationed in Germany for two years with the Army near Frankfurt and yeah, I loved living there, the food, the people, the country, and the weather is like our North East. In college I took two years of German and yeah, the grammar can be hairy but it's very worthwhile and did you know that the Amish in this country continue to speak a form of German called Pennsylvania Deutch?

Why not go to the Yahoo!Answer "Travel" forum ? "Germany" and ask some questions there? Also a good place to meet German girls... And if you wouldn't mind helping a German practice English then you could visit the "Society & Culture" forum ? "Languages" and you could ask if there's a German friend, male or female, who needs help practicing English. They are always looking for someone willing to practice English with them without making fun because we all sound kinda like babies when we learn a new language. PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE. Start growling now!

BOTTOM LINE: You already speak "German" you just have to learn a different dialect called "Deutch" and Yahoo!Answers is a good place to meet friendly Germans.

Elizabeth Said:

How long will take to learn German language by a 13 years old boy?

We Answered:

He'll pick it up, it's really not that a hard language. Before I learned German, I thought that I would be left behind and wouldn't understand anything but I was wrong.

Don Said:

Hi, how does one who has no knowledge in German learn the language?

We Answered:

No harder than learning any other kind of language, if you are in school talk to your teachers, if you are not in school you should find some decent adult education colleges.

To be honest, the younger you start the more natural the language will sound and the easier you will find it to learn. Although you can learn a language at any age, all of the lingusts (ok all three of them) that I studied under say that people find it hardr to learn after age 12.
