Learn How To Dj

Katherine Said:

How and where can I learn to DJ?

We Answered:

if you are still in high school or college, they will often have special programs for media that will include that

if you are older, broadcasting school or something similar is a great idea

if your interested in radio, check with your local stations about internships or job shadowing
if your interested in private, check your local phone directory under wedding planning and party planning, you will find a lot of dj's listed there, and you can contact them and ask about job shadowing also

good luck to you :)

How do you become a great Dj? Where and what is the best way to learn to Dj? How do you get jobs as a Dj in TX

We Answered:

If you don't have a set up then go buy a cheap one or used one and just start practicing.... try imitating DJ's you admire. Then start with small parties, then bigger ones then maybe some local club gigs and then on to bigger venues (raves,etc.)..... just keep working at it man..... you'll get there. If you want work then you have to get your name out there.... put it on your vehicle so people see while you drive around town and do a lot of local parties and talk to local DJ's too..... networking. Good luck.
