Learn Sign Language
Joel Said:
What are some tips to learn sign language? We Answered:
It would be good if you had someone to practice with.Look in the mirror when you sign and voice the words
(total communication - some people read lips)
Listen to the news or a sermon and try to sign what is being said. You need to get a book that has signs for words or phrases, rather than just finger spelling. Good luck to you, it will be very rewarding learning a new language.........plus you will be able to communicate.

How can I learn sign language and teach it to my brother? We Answered:
he should be recieving some sort of education..it should include communication..find out what the school is doing.an alternative is a PECS system..using pictures *or wriiten words to communicate.
you don't need to learn actual siagn language at this point.
you can look up the individual words as you need them
start with some basics eat, drink (or a specific drink water, milk), bathroom, favorite toys like ball, music
be prepared to work on sick/pain when he is actually hurt
depending in his ability you may need to work on one at a time or a small group of 2-3
to start try ball (if he likes ball)
show him the ball
shown him the sign
take his hands and help him make the sign
give him the ball

Any good website where I could learn sign language for free?We Answered:
http://www.lifeprint.com has a great dictionary and offers a beginning ASL course FREE. The more advanced classes I think require a one time payment. This isn't really classes, but http://www.signingtime.com/forums is a great resource. There's even a "How Do You Sign......?" section.
You could also go to the following web addresses to see videos containing signs:
http://www.youtube.com/BabyBundle
http://www.youtube.com/EFOMERCIALS
http://www.youtube.com/SigningTime
http://www.signingtime.com/shop?product_… - Click each DVD and near the bottom of the page will be a video that has a preview of the DVD. This video contains signs!
http://www.signingtime.com/resources/vid… - This page contains tons of videos with signs! Some might be the same as the ones in the link above, but there are some other ones here, especially if you read the text above the video player.
Remember, ASL word order is object-subject-verb, not subject-verb-object like English.

Question to all people who love to learn languages: Why so many infants learn sign language faster than?We Answered:
Infants and young children are "hard-wired" to learn languages. Their brains are most adaptable to learning any language or languages. They can easily learn 4 or more at the time. The older we get the harder it is for us to learn a new language.Arthur Said:
What is the best way to learn sign language? We Answered:
If you're talking about American Sign Language (ASL), then the first thing to do is learn the alphabet. Here's a link:http://talkwithyourhands.com/blog/wp-con…
just remember that the J is the same as the letter i but you move your pinky finger as if you were tracing a hook and the Z is literally tracing a Z in the air.
then go to youtube: one of the best ways to learn anything, especially languages. Here's a starting point:
the alphabet song:
