Learn Spanish In Argentina
Dave Said:
Argentina for learning Spanish?We Answered:
I think you are asking more about the living than courses, right? If you came from Europe you will find Argentina pretty cheap. You can have a decent meal for 3-4 dollars and a wonderful one, including wine, for 10 (or even e little less).
There are a lot of funny things to do in Buenos Aires that you will need just to pay for the public transportation that is also cheap (let say 50 cents dollar).
Rent an apartment could be a little more but will be much much cheaper than in any place in Spain for example. Try to look for furnished studios in Belgrano or Palermo neighbourhoods that are pretty much well located. You can go to cheaper places in San Telmo.
If you want to travel around the country and you are not planing to fly, well you can find very good trips to do. A interesting thing you can do is cross to Colonia (Uruguay) for a couple of days. There is also not expensive if you go with Euro.
To resume, Argentina could be a cheap an interesting option to go to learn Spanish even if you are not planing to take any course. The most expensive thing will be the flight ticket.
Have luck.

where do u recommend to learn spanish? Argentina or Colombia? We Answered:
I suggest Colombia. Their Spanish has a more standard accent. As for safety just use common sense. Don't go to any Latin American country flashing a rolex, expensive jewelery, ect. Cali, Colombia has a large Chinese-Colombian community, (although it is not one of the largest in Latin America) there is a club in Cali (although i forgot the name) where it is packed with Asians, but mostly Chinese. I met many friendly people, some who showed me around the city, we spent the entire day sightseeing and speaking Mandarin. if you go to learn Spanish there, I'm sure one of them will help you out. There is a China town is Bogotá, but last i heard it was still it a "project" phase, not sure it it was constructed yet.Gene Said:
If you had a choice of learning either Spanish, French, or Italian which would u learn? We Answered:
I already know Spanish so French because I go there more often than Italy and have friends in FranceI think you should choose one that interests you most or will be most practical. Theres not much point in learning the language of a place you never go to or where you don't know anyone who speaks it. You need to be motivated to learn a language so having an end goal like being able to talk to a friend that speaks the language or using it when on holiday in that country would be good
Good luck :) x

Should I consider learning Spanish in Argentina? We Answered:
Argentine Spanish is very different to the other varieties of Spanish. And their vocabulary is also very different to the common Latino Spanish vocabulary. But it is not hard to understand.Obviously, it is not the first choice if you want to learn Latino American Spanish. But the country has a very important cultural scene, great schools, and is very cosmopolitan, so, those are great advantages.
You know, actor Viggo Mortenssen learned Spanish in Argentina (he lived there for many years). When he speaks Spanish, he has a typical argentinian accent, but apart from that, his Spanish is absolutely correct and understandable.

Where can i learn spanish in Argentina? We Answered:
WELL...considering it's a Spanish speaking country, take your pick. HOWEVER, Buenos Aires has a lot of English speakers, so it might be a little more difficult to immerse yourself (it's not impossible, I've just found that a lot of people wanted to speak to me in English). There's a pretty good school in Mendoza, though. Here's the website: http://www.spanishcourses.com.ar/english…
Also...You should know they don't use standard castellano Spanish. Be prepared to learn the Voseo. It isn't hard, but it might throw you off for a couple days if you're somewhat knowledgable in the language. You can use it outside of Argentina, but other speakers might look at you funny.
