Learn To Speak Italian
Anne Said:
how do i learn to speak italian? We Answered:
If you already know spanish the you shouldn't have any trouble with Italian. They are very closely related. You could always take classes or the easy way and marry an Italian :P My family would switch to Italian when they didn't want others to hear what they were saying so it was natural for me. The benefits are the same with any foreign language you can understand and speak to people. Also, most companies look for bi lingual people to market to larger groups of people.Nicole Said:
i want to learn to speak italian but i heard there are many dialects, is this true?We Answered:
there is a dialect for each region or city, but as every language in every country I think...however If I have to speak with a foreigner I don't speak in dialect of my city, neither if I speak with my brother, but using the normal italian....
In short there's no reason for being afraid about that!
I really advise you to learn it. In my opinion italian is a very good language, with many possibilities of expression!
Bye!

How do i learn to speak Italian? We Answered:
I am studying French at university. I have tried to learn Spanish and Latin on the side, and I really really struggled and had to give in. However, the people who can study two languages at once tend to have started with them both at the same time at high school. So I'd say start them both at the same time.To learn, you need to do everything: read, listen, speak, write. A FANTASTIC website is livemocha.com - you do all of that, and you are commented on by native speakers. & you can help English and Spanish learners too. & it's free. Good luck!

Is it easier to learn spanish before learning how to speak Italian? We Answered:
If you want to learn to speak them, you should not start them at the same time. They're similar enough that you'll confuse them. Start with Spanish, and once you get to a level where you can use all the tenses comfortably, then start Italian. They're both wonderful languages. Best of luck.

How to learn to speak Italian faster? We Answered:
nope. learning a language takes years. and also depends on the determination and memory capability. you try to learn it "better" (supposedly) and faster, you will fail. learning languages is a very slow and tedious process. it takes a LOT of time. software like Rosetta Stone etc doesn't help either, because it just throws a person into the language without any background knowledge or anything. It doesn't teach languages the way it should (such as by starting with the alphabet, vowels, diphthongs, and pronunciation). Best to start slow or you will only increase the embarrassment of yourself when attempting to speak it.Reginald Said:
How did you learn to speak Italian fluently??We Answered:
I took the beginners class in high school, and continued afterwards listening to SEVERAL books on tape (or mp3s) where you repeat every sentence and everyone looks at you looks at you like you're crazy, lol, j/k.Also rented many many Italian movies w/ english subtitles and keep practicing! You really have to be consistent on your own with studying to keep all the rules and language fresh in your memory.
Music helped as well! Sing along with Bocelli, Lucio Battisti, Laura Pausini.

Where can I learn to speak Italian for a fair price? We Answered:
I have seen a lot of people use the web to learn another language. A lot of the time if you find someone online that speaks that language, you two can "trade" your languages and learn from one another :)
