Learning to ride a motorcycle in the UK?We Answered:
himy opinion is the restricted test is easier and quicker and cheaper than direct access if you have been riding bike for a few years,it's almost the same test as cbt, and though it restricts you to 33bhp for 2 years it don't make that much difference to the bike. i have a yamaha fazer 600 restricted and it is only marginally slower than my mates full blown 98bhp unrestricted version. it also means that you then have 2 years to get used to the size and handling of a big bike before unleashing yourself on a 0 to A+E in 4.5 seconds dream bike!!!
the only thing is though get your test in ASAP as it is due to become a whole lot harder very very soon.hope this helps

Its cheap,One arm .one leg and a right hand testicle. It takes as long as nessessary. They will not let you pass until they are sure that you are fit to pass. That is a good thing.Alternatives are few.Fit a sidecar to your bike,Walk.Get the bus,Thumb a lift,Do not go out,Ask your dad for a lift,These alternatives all suck.just bite the bullet.Direct access is for you.Shirley Said:
Learn to Direct Film?We Answered:
Depending where you are, I'd initially say move to London. There are some top notch film schools - National film and television school, is an extremely good one (however very hard to get into). There is also an extremely good course at the University of Westminster - film and television production - they do ALOT of practical work and I'm aware its a pretty tough course to get on.There are student grants and loans available to you from the government. London being so expensive however I'd recommend a part time job as well.
Also if your really passionate - save your money, and buy a small video camera. And start making movies - anything silly things, big things, small things, start practicing - the best piece of advice that was given to me was to keep making movies, over and over, never stop.
It's by practicing, getting used to your angles, your lighting, your scripts, your editing, that a personal style will develop and an awareness of what works and what doesn't emerges.
And the one thing i hate most, but has saved my butt is, networking. Network as much as possible, like your life depends on it!

What film school to join in the UK for under 18's if you want to direct? We Answered:
Three years. And you can join literally any part of the military to join the SAS, even the Navy and Air Force. But I'd reccomend the Parachute Regiment in the Army would be best, as 60% of SAS candidates are from the Paras. You can't go wrong with the Royal Marines either, although they tend to go SBS if they go Special Forces

Does anybody know what plug in I need to access Learn Direct.co.uk.?We Answered:
Hmmm... If you download and install the Firefox browser, then when you encounter a page where you need plugins (like Flash or Real Audio/Video) you simply click at the top of the window and it automatically finds and installs the plugin you need.If you don't want to install Firefox, and are still using Internet Explorer, you will need to systematically check whether it has the common plugins installed. First check that Macromedia Flash is installed by going to www.macromedia.com - if all the page content is displayed, you're OK. Next is Real - try to open some Real video content (search for a site featuring Real audio/video content using a search engine.
Hope this helps a bit... I do recommend Firefox - free and brilliant, much more secure than Internet Explorer!
Good luck,
DC :-)
