Matching with letters/numbers. Bingo type thing with number/letters.....finger plays?
Find a story that the children really like and try to make a game from it like the caterpillar story get a green sock and cut out the food that he eats in construction paper and put a hole in the middle.Then put the sock on your arm,read the story and put the food on your arm as if it ate through it even let the kids do it. (not really a game but the children will have fun learning different foods, even ask what the foods are and they will be more interested.

Let him play with a stick in the yard.

For the 4th and 5th grader:
Let them play with their friends in the local playground or let them go out, have some fun and enjoy the summer.

School is hell, let them take a break from all the "learning."
