Someday when you're a rich contractor you'll need to be able to communicate with your ignorant employees.

Janet Said:

Why do we have to learn/speak spanish?

We Answered:

1. It will make you a better communicator if you ever want to speak to about 350 million people throughout the world's population.
2. It will teach you about the Latin derivation of words.

Are japanese people interested in learning to speak spanish or english?

We Answered:

I'm a native Japanese speaker. Kon'nichiwa!
English is the most popular foreign language in Japan.
Learning the language is mandatory from junior high school.
But now, learning English from an early age is considered important, and there are so many materials that teach English to children.
Personally, I love learning English and now am studying in Oregon now as an exchange student from my home university in Japan.
I am also interested in learning Spanish. I learned very basic Spanish at my college. I can say like: Hola! Mucho gusto. Yo soy Curious Taka. Yo soy de Japón. ¿Habla español?- Sí, sí hablo. Pero todavía muy poco.
If you really want to teach English in Japan, I warmly welcome you (of course, there are a lot of other people who will welcome you)!
Good luck! :)

Learning to speak Spanish?

We Answered:

There is a cool website called Livemocha.com. It's an international used website offering a multitude of lessons over vocab, grammar rules, etc.to help you learn almost any language. What makes it even cooler and more helpful is that after each lesson you have an activity that normally asks you to write something in the language you're trying to learn). Anyway, once you do it's posted and shown to native speakers of that language who can then review it, correct it, and offer you advice. There are speaking exercises you can record that can be reviewed as well which can help with your pronunciation. In return, you can also review people's exercises as they try to learn English

Bernard Said:

If you were study abroad to learn to speak Spanish, where would you go?

We Answered:

Although there are several varieties of Spanish, you may think about two main groups, latin american Spanish and Spanish as spoken in Spain

If budget is your limitation, I would suggest Argentina, being reasonable inexpensive but quite organised. The main cities where you may learn are Buenos Aires, Mendoza and Bariloche

you may find some good places in Buenos Aires at
http://www.argentinatravelnet.com/temp/A…

at Mendoza
http://www.argentinatravelnet.com/temp/A…

or Bariloche
http://www.argentinatravelnet.com/temp/A…

Some friends of mine got a living there teaching English, so they were essentially exchanging their knowledge in English by Spanish

Also there are great opportunities to visit the country

Spain is a great option with plenty of opportunities, but it is harder to work there if you don't have a visa (learning Spanish at a university will provide you with one) and for example, either Salamanca (http://www.spanishsalamanca.com) or Madrid are great places.

Hope that this helps.

Javier
