You already have a really informative list, but I would include educational podcatss that one can find on iTunes. Those help people to learn a lot.

Also, some musicians learn simply by hearing music and training their ears so they don't learn to read music until later on. I play violin, an dthat's what I did. There are CD's for babys like 'baby Mozart,' i think, and baby einstein. I don't know much about them but a lot of parents hav etheir kids listen to classical music and it helps speed up their intellectual growth.

This may be something more serious - it's hard to tell from just a post - but my 2nd grade son also had difficulty with writing. I started teaching him cursive (I'd heard connecting the letters helps) and it worked for a bit. However, he was (and, 3 years later, still is) painfully slow at writing. So I found a program online to teach him typing (there are several geared to kids, with games, etc. - check online at Rainbow Resource)

I still require him to write, just not as much.

When I go online to look for groups of people with homeschooling I want to know that they have places I can go and look for not only elementary and preschool things but middle school and high school. I like a wide variety of information. Math, english, history, and science is fine but what about all the other things you should be teaching? Age appropriateness is very important too. I homeschool my 15 year old daughter, my 4 year old and three year old sons, and will be teaching my other son who is one right now. He is with us when we teach things so he may be learning already and we just don't know it yet. We don't have a homeschool group around here that is for older kids as well as younger kids.
