Looks good. You are clear in your plan. The only change I would make is to the following 2 sentences:

I tried to catch up, but was unfortunate. I dropped my history 1302 class after having a discussion with my professor, (name) , who recommend my drop and decided I take the course next semester.

The "but was unfortunate" part doesn't make sense.
"who recommend my drop" is worded awkwardly to me.
"and decided I take the course next semester." Again, worded awkwardly to me. I would also consider dropping the "and" and replacing it with a period.
