Chemistry Lesson Plans For High School

Debbie Said:

Am I taking on too much subjects?

We Answered:

You seem motivated. I don't think so. You can always slow down on the self study and the drawing/art.

Willie Said:

Princeton University, do you think they'd take me?

We Answered:

For any ivy league you have to take the BLITZ of ap/ honors courses...which you are doing effectively. by college prep do you mean AP chemistry because as a sophomore that is almost unheard of where I live (competitive high schools). Newspaper and Interact club also definately help, but when applying to Ivy leagues you never know. Our former EIC was a great straight A student who was in many ways the ideal student, and he got a partial scholarship to Princeton but was REJECTED by Harvard... so be prepared to apply to several if your dreams are Ivy League.

George Said:

Planning ahead for college?

We Answered:

First off, don't get your heart set on going to an Ivy League. Honestly, the name is their biggest asset. There are many other schools that are also really great academically, but don't come with the Ivy League price tag. If you want to figure out schools that offer the major you want, go on a site like Princeton Review where you can search for colleges by major. If you want to do computer forensic work, a double major in criminal justice and computer science would probably be extremely useful, and once again, to look for schools offering this, just look on Princeton Review. For college planning, just get good grades, be active in clubs, etc, outside of school, and hope for the best.
