Carole Said:

Lesson plan activity-- Intro, through, and beyond for a picture book story?

We Answered:

Maybe:
Intro: Brainstorm what they think the story could be about before reading it.
After reading it: You could get the students to come up with alternative endings to the story or use the story and in groups, come up with a way to perform the story (I once did this with Snow White). Or you can pick a character from the book and get them to write a journal entry or a letter from their perspective.

Toni Said:

hey, i need lesson plan and activities for children aged 5 about going shopping in a supermarket !Pls help me!?

We Answered:

Preparation: The teacher makes small boxes with pictures on them like pencil, pen, books, biscuits, chocolates and also the prices. The class room is arranged like a shop.
Presentation: Five boys/girls act as sales persons. Other children come to buy things. The teacher gives instructions how to buy things. Children purchase things after asking the cost of each item. The sale persons calculate the cost. (Sinple arithmetic is to be used.)
The boy at the computer makes the bill.
Change the sale persons and continue the play. Correct them wherever necessary
Recapitulation; Similar problems can be asked to be answered instantly

Why it is important for the teacher to plan activities for a lesson in advances?

We Answered:

In case she becomes ill her schedule would be made out and followed by the substitute.Just a smart thing to do.

Dorothy Said:

Conservatives...how can a SUGGESTED lesson plan/activities be REQUIRED?

We Answered:

I know a teacher. They are laughing. They say most parents have no idea what they teach their children, they just drop them off and let the school do everything and they get little parental support. Now parents are worried about this, let the kids go see twighlight again but keep them from the evil PRESIDENT.
You are right in your observation.

Robin Said:

Any good Lesson Plan/Activity ideas for FEELINGS/EMOTIONS?

We Answered:

At preschool age the lesson is vocabulary as much as anything else. They'll know happy and sad and mad, and maybe afraid. But they won't know "bored" "confused" "shy" "embarrassed" etc. There are posters of facial expressions you can buy, or you can cut pictures out of magazines. Show them a couple of pictures and ask them what can make them feel this way. If it's an unpleasant feeling, what can we do to change it?
