Lesson plan for English?

We Answered:

First state to the students what they will be doing and how. Keep the lesson simple for this situation. Give examples of present tense verbs and give non-examples. Provide practice maybe in some sort of worksheet and give feedback if they are correct or incorrect. Ask questions and allow students to give examples or even readsorally a magazine article that would interest them for review. Then end the lesson by asking them to correctly write a paragraph or more using present tense verbs. You need to prepare an interesting open ended prompt for this. Again, keep it simple and don't worry.

Ida Said:

i have to create a lesson plan for my english class and i have to teach the word synecdoche?

We Answered:

The true def of this word is exaggeration, so go with it. Yell out "synecdoche" while running around the room waving your arms, saying "what does this word mean, this long, strange word, synecdoche, if I don't find out what it means I'll go crazy," (pulling at your hair). Your students will be laughing at this point. You then stop and ask the students by seeing how you were acting, what does the word mean. I guarantee you that these students will remember this word well into high school.
