Lesson Plan Template

Tina Said:

Are ''objectives'' and ''learning outcomes'' the same thing?

We Answered:

Not exactly. They're closely connected, though.

Objectives in lesson plans are your objectives for teaching. The outcomes are what your students should be able to do once you have taught them. Your objectives and your outcomes should be linked to each other.

So, for example, an objective might be, "to teach everyone about photosynthesis." The learning outcome might be, "students will be able to explain the process of photosynthesis in a narrative and in a graphic/drawing."

I hope this helps!

Good luck!
