Lesson Plans For Primary Schools

How to introduce a lesson on the human body?

We Answered:

Maybe Simon Says? Only once they've touched their elbows etc., you could have them point to their lungs, or their kidneys etc.
You could also read The Magic School Bus Inside the Human Body.

PRIMARY SCHOOL TEACHER?

We Answered:

Yes there is a lot of "outside work" required of a teacher. While every school district I've worked in allows for "planning time" each day (when combined with 30 minutes for lunch, we get close to 2 hours of planning each day) you will still find yourself taking work home. You may write lesson plans at home, grade papers, research new ways to present old information etc. You will still have time for hobbies and family and you should always make family your priority.

The best part of teaching, I think, comes in the way of compensation. I don't just mean salary, but more than that, the fantastic health benefits. My benefits are far superior to my husband's, who works in the private industry. After compensation, I would say the schedule is great. I love having the summers off with my children. The down side can often be dealing with parents. Most are wonderful but every now and again you run into some pretty difficult parents. If you have a supportive administration, it's not that bad but, if the administration doesn't support its teachers, you're in for a long year with those difficult parents. Another perk that I think ranks pretty high up there, is the "love" you get from your children. Sometimes, when I'm having a really bad day, a student's love and appreciation can just turn things around for me in a second. That is truly rewarding.

Ideas for lesson plans for Gambian children? fun activities etc :)?

We Answered:

Try http://www.toddler-net.com/Games_art_cra… We love their arts and crafts. Very nice yet simple projects!
You may also consider using worksheets/activity sheets. That same website has some, just look for a link.
I'm not a teacher so never needed lesson plans but I'm sure that if you google "lesson plans" you'd find some.

Good luck!

I have an assessment involving planning and executing an art lesson for primary school children, Help please!?

We Answered:

yes it sounds like a good i dear but instead of getting them to follow your i dear ask them to come up with ideas of there own. After you have introduced the subject that you are going to be doing ask them for ideas this shows you are engaging them. if you think one of there i dears is too difficult ask them to come up with a similar i dear. eg the child says a foot ball being kicked in kepi upies, this is difficult say to them why its difficult the fact they they will need to draw each stage of the action and with involving more objects its more difficult. Then ask the child to come up with a more simple drawing then when the cant you suggest the bouncing ball. you want to show that you can engage and get the students to think about art in a way that they can achieve.
