Lesson Plans For Science Teachers

Eduardo Said:

Why don't teachers get paid more?

We Answered:

A great many people assume that anyone can teach and therefore why should they be paid. Anyone who passed 4th grade can teach 4th grade. Right? When I taught I always wished I was paid at least $1 per kid per hour. NO BABYSITTER would work that cheap and they don't even have to teach. At $1 per kid per hour I would have made a fortune. I taught 185 7th graders each day!

Also, a great many people didn't like teachers when they were in school, still don't respect teachers and in turn their children don't like or respect teachers.

Also, most teachers are female and people figure women don't need to be able to support families; men support families. Women just work to make their own spending money or because they are bored.

Marc Said:

are Paraprofessional required to leave lesson plans behid if going to be absent?

We Answered:

I'm a paraprofessional also and what I did was write my detailed schedule from what teacher I work with, the times, which kids are in the class, their accomodations etc. I included what I personally do with each child as to prevent confusion. I wouldn't call it a "lesson plan" just a detailed schedule to follow as if you were doing it yourself. It helps to talk to the person face to face also. My sub sucked because she didn't do what I said but thats neither here or there.

Calling all teachers and trainee teachers!?

The sites or links provided below will assist you with teaching life cycles of various animals, insects, and plants, with links at the sites to take you to many more types of animals. This should give you lots of examples and ideas on how to present the material to your students. Good luck to you.
