Listening Skills Lesson Plans
Margaret Said:
I need help to make listening skill teaching plan?We Answered:
Hi, Drkeyes.I would include the word "listen" in every behavioral objective, like this:
1) Knowledge: After listening to the story, the student will be able to define the highlighted words
2) Comprehension: After listening to the story, the student will be able to differentiate between comparative adjectives formed by adding suffixes and those formed by "more _____ "

As far as this question goes "compare qualities, or use the comparative forms...to what level does that relate?"
If you mean, "After listening to the story the student will compare quantities in correct English," I think that would be Level 3 -- Application.
But if you mean, "After listening, the student will compose a story about two brothers, one of whom is age 8 and one age 14, describing the ways in which one is "more than" the other," that would be Level 5 -- Synthesis
For Level 6, you could write, "After listening to the story, the student will defend (or criticize) the author's use of the famous line, "Curiouser and curiouser," spoken by Alice.
" 'Curiouser and curiouser!' cried Alice (she was so much surprised, that for the moment she quite forgot how to speak good English."
(from "Alice in Wonderland.")

I wonder if you've ever come across the well-known story by the famous science fiction author (and scientist) Isaac Asimov, "The Fun They Had." It's a short story about children in the future who don't go to school because they have robot teachers in their homes. In the story, the children envy the fun that children used to have when they got to go to school.

Should I bring my portfolio in my handbag or in the suitcase? We Answered:
A soft sided brief case looks professional & can double as a purse / carry on bag. NEVER put anything in checked baggage that you can not afford to be without during your trip. My brief case bag never caused a problem. They can X-ray, but if they want to look, it opens up quite well with expansion that they can easily look into quickly & you waste less time with security.Vicki Said:
How to teach children EFL classroom the letter I?We Answered:
Take a look at using minimal pairs for a start. That focuses right in on the sound they're trying to produce. Also, you might want to get hold of a diagram of the position of the tongue and lips in creating this sound. As for doing listening activities in class,
1. warm up on the general theme of the listening
2. listen for gist
3. check for comprehension
3. listen for detail
4. check for comprehension
5. practice using new words/phrases from the listening

i need behavioural objective on the analysing level on Bloom Taxonomy? We Answered:
"Analysis: to encourage students to break information down into parts.breaking down information into parts, or examining (and trying to understand the organizational structure of) information.
Use words and phrases such as: what are the differences, analyze, explain, compare, separate, classify, arrange, etc."

In this case, maybe you can use
After listening to the story, the student will distinguish between types of celestial objects such as stars, planets, and moons.
After listening to the story, the student will deduce the underlying principle for forming comparative adjectives by using "more" or "most" before the word, rather than by using the "__er" or "__est" suffixes.

Thinking about quiting my job but I have a kid to think about? We Answered:
if you're relying on the pay to be able to support you and your daughter, definitely stay with it until you have something else lined up. i wouldn't quit over irritation if dinner depended on it.if you don't need the money, then that's entirely up to you. for me, if the money was optional, i'd rather be with my own child than somebody else's, and i'd rather not be trying to drill-and-kill a 2-year-old even if the parents were crazy enough to want that.
